Everywhere this photo appears, everyone wants to know the context,
but I haven't been able to find any information at all.
Not sure what is going on but have another photo of the group (without snowsuit guy) and both photos are filed under military.

DeleteThis was taken in Antarctiça. All these men suffered severely for this shoot. Some sources say very few survived.

Was it some sort of experiment? There are cars in the background, so theoretically they could have driven away.
