Leaning Men
We start our series of leaning men with Ray Routledge as photographed by Russ Warner.
Ray won the Mr. America title back in 1961, but was always losing points in these competitions for his large tattoo. He died about 10 years ago in a retirement home in California, alone and without a family. He appears to have lived what appears to have been a closeted gay lifestyle.
Not an uncommon story as far as the lifestyle goes. Ray was an Air Force man, and this photo (as well as the other full nudes I have of him) is not as beefy as his bodybuilding magazine shots in trunks, most of which were also by Warner.
