We are lucky to have a relatively large number of academic drawings by Antoine-Alphonse Montfort (1802-1884) who was a renowned 19th Century French artist. His male nudes are quite good.
This model probably felt lucky to have the cushions, but he likely got fatigued anyway.
Poor guy must have a helluva headache.

DeleteI've done similar. Balancing the arm and neck muscles can be tricky too. Yet another gorgeous pose though...definitely one to do when I can.
