I posted another photo from this session over a year ago in which the model's face
was completely hidden . . . not that you can see that much in this version.

  1. From what can be seen, IMHO, he is far and away the handsomest and best built of all the model's we see here. I like the shadowed left hand. It's almost as though Lalaing wanted it as the central focus of the shot.

    1. It's also the best technical quality piece in my entire Lalaing collection. I didn't have to adjust it . . . but that doesn't mean somebody else couldn't have before I got it.

  2. Utterly gorgeous. A pose I've done many times. But this guy nails it. I always have a copy of this on my phone to check my own pose. A favourite of mine.

    1. Of all today's posts, this is the most familiar pose by a model. Interesting that you keep it on your phone.

    2. I keep a set on my standard poses on my phone. Several are vintage photographs or much older art works. Those who have gone before and continuing a tradition.

  4. Lalaing etait l'un des meilleurs. Pose classique avec un beau modele, cette image classique en soi. Le pose est facile et confortable, j'ai pose comme ca pour en merveilleux groupe d'art.

    1. When one looks at Lalaing's catalog of work, it's actually hard to find the images (or even the influence) of these wonderful models. Did he take some of these photos for enjoyment?
