Legs


This guy shows us a nice derriere alongside the agave plants.

    1. One of my jobs on the ranch as a kid was burning the spines off the opuntia, aka prickly pear, cactus with a sort of flame thrower. That was so the cows could eat it during a drought, and they loved the stuff once the thorns were gone. Always practical, my mother made jelly out of the fruit which she picked with tongs before we let the cattle munch down.

    2. I remember candied prickly pear sold at an old-time Hispanic market in
      El Modena, CA (Chapman and Hewes) back in the 70's. It was delish !
      Have not had it since that time.
