Neal

This is the "newest" file from the old CD I found, and it's labeled "Neal 1930."
I don't know if Neal was the photographer or the model, though.

  1. For some reason that I'm not quite sure about, this is probably my favourite photo in this excellent series. The model has a great physique and seems really attractive but there's a lovely sense of mystery about the image which intrigues me.

    1. It might be the way his face and upper body are shadowed that gives it that mysterious aura. I like this shot very much, too.

    2. Maybe the fact that the skull is better lighted than his face adds to the mystery? It's one of those that I shouldn't like, but do, and it's good when that happens.

  2. I remember overhearing a very loud remark in a gay bar in the mid-1970s parodying a prolific TV advertising campaign here in the UK: "I thought Neal was something you did in church until I discovered Smirnoff Vodka." It still raises a smile to this day.

  4. A skull prop was often an indication of the acting profession, "Alas Poor Yorrick, I knew thee well.. "
