Lawrence Olivier
This is not what I expect when I think of Sir Lawrence Olivier.
If one believes the rumours, Danny Kaye was about to join him. They say that is one of the reasons Vivian Leigh went off the deep end. You can compete with another woman but not another man!
This is from The 49th Parallel, a classic movie about Nazi infiltration in Northern Canada during WWII. One of my favorites, and not just because of this scene. The intro them was composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams and is sublime. Definitely worth a watch on YouTube!
