Stamm (1893-1963) was known as the Boy Hercules who performed in strongman acts in vaudeville. He was a member of the Los Angeles Athletic Club as a youth and trained under Al Treloar. In 1904 he was the winner of the first international physique contest. During Ww1 Stamm was a physical education instructor in the US Navy, one of his students was FDR….:)
