Bob DeWeese
Doug Juleff photographed the always impressive Bob DeWeese in the Lake Michigan dunes.
From what I've read, there were two ways these shots were made. Either find a secluded spot at a quiet moment, or get the picture made very quickly while no one was looking.
If you got it flaunt it. Photo taken at the dunes by Saugatuck, a resort long popular with gay men in Michigan and the Midwest. Juleff recruited models from local gyms and physique contests, as well as athletes from local colleges and the well built industrial workers of Detroit. Wonder if Juleff ever met or corresponded with Oettinger, another Michigan physique photographer….:)
Love it! Lake Michigan…great note! bns
ReplyDeleteI'm presuming there were simply less folks around back then, which allowed the privacy. (Bob looks awesome here)

DeleteI often wondered about that very thing.
