Copter

This one reminds me of the 1950s TV show Whirlybirds.

  1. Was Whirlybirds the 1950s? Trust the penny-pinching BBC, I was watching it in the 1960s. Choppers like that are called "hairdryers" in England. There is a helipad near me and they're flying over all the time. Nifty little things. I don't know which I prefer, it or him - so I'll take both.

    1. Looked it up. 111 episodes - broadcasted from February 4, 1957, to January 18, 1960. It was produced by Desilu Studios. Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball also brought us Star Trek.

    2. Don't feel bad, Julian. It took a long time for us to get some of your better TV shows over here, and we never got some of them. American TV was justly called a "vast wasteland" at one point.

  2. I looked up Whirlybirds on iMDb. Was rather taken aback by star Craig Hill. Dayum!

  3. I remember the show. I am not a fan of helicopters but I would make this one exception! Interesting story about Craig Hill's personal life in his Wikipedia page.
