Refueling?
Is he refueling an airplane with a one gallon gas can?
Trying to fool us like that was a bit cheeky. Yes, splendid series. All that was missing was an airship. I just love airships but before I disappear so far up myself all you will hear is an echo, I'll just say thanks.
You're welcome! Somehow I think this was a staged photo op as opposed to an actual refueling, but I could be wrong. I've been wrong lots and lots of times.
What a great series of photos! It is ironic that earlier today I was watching one of the last airworthy Lancaster Bombers doing a flyover Lake Ontario. I take it they were dressed, but again you never know!
That was a fun series!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it!

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Julian. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any airship photos with the requisite beef on display.
DeleteUnique idea, Jerry! Thanks! Oh, maybe the guy had no other way to gas up the aircraft. Or he had A LOT of time in his hands.

ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the set, Pat.
DeleteI think he was adding oil. Fuel goes in the wings or the aft part of the fuselage on light planes. Thanks for this series- Dee Exx
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense, but the can says "gasoline," leaving me thinking it was just a prop and not actual maintenance on the plane.
