We're accustomed to seeing Mike Dubel in photos by Douglas of Detroit, but this one has been authenticated as by Denny Denfield. Although Mr. Denfield's color work is preponderantly
outdoors, this is an example of his ability to do color very nicely in the studio.
Very nice series, but this photo is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteIt does stand out.
DeleteOMG!!!! WOOOOW!!!!! Takes my breath away. LOL
ReplyDeleteExcellent selection of Denfield's work today.
Thank you!
DeleteHe is a phenomenon. Can I get one for Christmas?
ReplyDeletePut in your order early.
DeleteGood studio physique portrait of Dubel.
ReplyDeleteColor film back then was temperamental inside a studio due to artificial lighting and its composition. Color film was best used outdoors where natural sunlight brought proper color range and tones, no doubt the reason why Denfield preferred using color film outdoors….:)
Coro was tricky for the reasons you mention and a few others.
