Unknown on a rock
Occasionally Denny Denfield chose to expand the frame of the photo to show off the beautiful California landscapes and seascapes. He manages to do that here without taking anything
away from his handsome and very well posed unknown model.
It is my understanding that Denny Denfield was a friend of Bob Mizer and on occasion would visit Mizer in Southern California. There are a series of photos Denfield took of one of Mizer’s photo shoots in the late 1940’s. Denfield was known to travel to the deserts and beaches of So Cal for photo shoots….:)
Looks a lot like Joshua Tree National Park and you're right, the beautiful setting is just the icing on the cake - the model looks right at home here
ReplyDeleteThanks for the location! And yes, the model does look right at home.

Yes, he did head down south from time to time.
DeleteAgain I see the photo as "Earth" and "sky". But here, it seems that handsome male "unites" them.
ReplyDeleteThat he does.
DeleteBeautiful. I love that feeling of freedom and abandon and being away from it all.
ReplyDeleteThis is a classic, and now a favorite item in my collection of 60,000 images.
