Jack Lalanne Day, Part 2 - Magazine Covers
Jack Lalanne appeared on at least 14 magazine covers, and I probably missed
several in my search. Part two of our series shows five of these,
starting with an impressive shot from Muscle Power.
Is it just me or does he seem to have a similar lump on his upper thigh as the more pronounced one in the "Hana" photo from yesterday. Now that I've seen that one they are going to start appearing more often???
1947, back when Oakland was the capital of bodybuilding in California before being usurped by Muscle Beach in the 1950’s. Six Mr America’s trained in Oakland gyms, favorite spots to flex and pose for the public were Merritt Lake in Oakland and Washington Park in Alameda, the original “Muscle Beach”.:)
