Ken Haak was well known as a fashion photographer, so it didn't surprise me to find this shot of three men in what must have been stylish pants back in the 1970s. What puzzles me is that they are shirtless, and their heads are cropped out. Maybe we're supposed to focus only on the trousers.

People dared to wear anything back then! I had trousers made from the most outrageous fabrics! :-D
ReplyDeleteYes, any fabric and the louder the better. Plaids, checks, geometrics. I only had one pair of such pants but a friend of mine had dozens. I generally stuck to Levi 501s and corduroy for dressier occasions.
DeleteI cannot recall anyone wearing anything like these I certainly didn't! Always jeans and I did have a few pairs of corduroy.
ReplyDeleteI was also in the corduroy for dress-up group.
DeleteYe gods and little fishes! The 70's - the latter half was a fashion disaster! And I'm color blind. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteYou don't need full color vision to recognize an atrocity.
DeleteThe 70’s miracle of polyester double knits….:)
