19th Century Miscellany
Today's series is an assortment of 19th Century photos. We start with
a handsome fellow whose photographer is unknown, as is he.
Wonderful expression. Although much older, he has the look of a matinee idol. Beautifully posed too. I assume with these ones, that they are actual life models, so would, in some cases do a "normal" life pose, rather than a photographic capture. Lovely to see, very evocative and inspirational for me.
This photo is by Henri Roger Viollet. It is from a collection of studies of nude models (both male and female). This photo is simply titled, "Study of a Male Nude, France". Circa 1900. I have a few more pics of this model by the same photographer. If you'd lke me to send them to you, let me know.
