I do not know the nationality of this handsome group of men,
That's what I find so puzzling and paradoxical about these photos; they ALL look like they're having fun, even in wartime! I have NO idea what it's like to be a soldier, and can only conclude that they were able to "compartmentalize" for a while.
Although I have no details about this photo, it might have been made in peacetime. Having said that, I have plenty of wartime shots of men having fun and appearing carefree.
Even a war wasn't going to stop these fine gentleman from having a bit of fun. The smiles say it all.
