You don't see those much any more.
First they were a nickel, then a dime, and finally a quarter.
I more remember a pay phone just attached to a wall or a pole.
Oh, fun fact: Superman only canonically changed in a phone booth once. The image is mostly from Fleischer cartoons. And even that once would of course be Earth-2, which means his status as a hero is debatable after Infinite Crisis.
