Egon Schiele

Egon Schiele (1890-1918) was an Austrian painter whose Expressionist/Secessionist work has been described variously as grotesque, provocative, obscene, disturbing, and erotic.  The above is only one of a number of nude self portraits he did.  Schiele died in the great influenza epidemic of 1918.
