Color Bulldog
Our lone color item of the set is a bulldog pose Polaroid. For whatever reason,
Warhol's color Polaroids were of better quality than the black and white.
It is curious but you are so right that his color Polaroids were generally better than his black and white Polaroids. Would be interesting to find out why. If he took a different approach based on which film he was shooting, or vice versa
It's possible that the color technology was more advanced than the B/W he used. Also, another commentator mentioned that Warhol used two different models of Polaroid camera, so perhaps use had a better camera for the color.
He knew how to choose his models!!!
ReplyDeleteHe certainly did. In this case! They don't all look this good, but overall they're pretty nice.
