Albert Londe (1858-1917) was the most pre-eminent medical photographer of his time, having worked with Dr. Charcot at one of France's most famous hospitals. He also did motion studies, often in collaboration with Jules Marey, and anatomical photos, some times with the help of Prof. Paul Richer.

True, he and Marey used a variety of electrical and mechanical devices to time the photographic shutters for their work. Some were quickly discarded while others remained in scientific use for decades.
