American Military Men after World War II

Today we look at some post-World War II U.S. military photos.  Frequent contributor and collaborator Larry K. either provided the photos and/or the information on them for three of today's pictures, including this one of Marines on the beach in Beirut in 1958 by Paul Schutzer.  Thanks, Larry!

  1. I really like the series that Jerry offers us today. Photos that show us parts of the lives of soldiers. I prefer them to studio photos!

  2. This one is interesting because only one (presumably--can't tell about the guy in the sand) of the soldiers is naked! The rest all have swimming attire. Maybe this dude just loved to be in the buff.

    1. It's hard to tell as there may have been other naked soldiers off camera. I will look for more photos from that session to see if there are others.

    2. OK, so there were a few other pictures of guys with no suits on and lots of guys swimming in their underwear, but this is the best photo of the group.
