Ledo Road

  1. A much overlooked theater of the war.
    The men here were lucky to be entertained by Alberta Hunter and the Rhythm Rascals, who were brave enough to perform at the front lines where they risked their lives, one of very few entertainment troupes to do so. Being African American Captain Hunter and the Rhythm Rascals had to at times endure racist slights. Captain Hunter would quickly put the racists in their place. The troupe eventually were requested by General Eisenhower to entertain his guests Marshall Montgomery and Marshall Zhukov in Berlin.
