North Africa
I think these are U.S. GIs in North Africa drying off after a portable shower.

My Dad was in North Africa, and I imagine it was pretty much the same for his regiment. I have many photos and letters he sent back home, but he rarely talked about it.
My uncle saw combat in North Aftica, Italy, Southern France, Germany, and Austria. For some reason he only spoke much of Italy, which was also the only place he had photos of. He did mention Austria because as he put it, "We cleaned out one nest of fanatics, and after that all we did was disarm surrendering Germans until the war ended."
