Randy Jack
The last image in the set is Randy Jack and a bookcase from 1950.
Many of these photos are disturbing. I would like to know why I have to rename all the photos I upload to your blog and not to other blogs. It's as if the download never finishes. I have to remove the end of the name to reveal the extension of the photo. For example, this one "Randy Jack 1950.jpeg.crdownload" I have to remove the crdowload to see the photo. Am I the only one having this problem? It's very rare when your photos load on the first try.
NON! Haha, I do the same thing! I constantly have to rename/delete most of the unnecessary numbers, BUT I'm still grateful to the webmaster that he goes thru all of this trouble just so we can see these lovely men. 🥰
It's weird when your memory gets jolted. By not seeing a face this picture could be my first partner of 20 years. He passed in 2001 of cancer. But unexpected memories are not such a bad thing.
There are two schools of thought on Lynes' missing heads. One says it was an artistic statement, and the other says it was to protect the identity of the models. My guess is a combination of the two.

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of that problem before, but nothing suprises me with this platform.

DeleteAt least I have been able to keep things so they can be downloaded.

ReplyDeleteAs someone whose partrner of 29 years passed away, I know the feeling. I'm pleased to have brought some pleasant memories back to you. Take care.
DeleteIt's interesting that he omitted the male's head. I am not familiar with him. Apparently GPL used him a lot.
