Mandate's cover men were sure to get newstand browsers (at least the gay male ones) to want to take a look inside. This is a prime example, but I can't find a name for the cover man. Anyone?
Great bait :) Roy Blakey created some of the best images of the men of that time. Blakey was also an ice skater and there is a blog of his extensive ice skating collection at Ice Stage Archive. Rex in DC
I did find out the cover credit is Roy Blakey but no credit for this model. I have seen him before somewhere though.
