New Guinea

These men are Americans on New Guinea in World War II.

  1. Héros du monde :)
And in America many sit back and let a draft dodging criminal and other Americans piss on their graves, their honneur and mémoires, for shame :( À vile sin !
These héros are sacred to us in Europe. When a nation denigrates its men of honneur it is no longer a civilized nation.

  2. During the war my grandad’s brother was in the USN and was stationed in the Caribbean servicing aircraft from little Catalinas to the giant Mars flying boats. Later he got sent island hopping in the South Pacific. The biggest problem they had was that the aircraft leaked oil like sieves just sitting parked ! They had to top off the oil every time one of them flew on a mission. He told me his service was like a vacation in paradise, when in his free time he got to swim nude in the ocean, sunbathe naked on the beach and got in some surfing. They tried cooking some land crabs hoping they would be like lobsters, they didn’t smell too good and one bite made you spit it out.
They were a very special generation born of the Great Depression destined to fight Ww2 and put an end to tyranny. I don’t think any generation of today’s political climate and leadership could shoulder the responsibilities they had. To think President FDR, a man crippled by polio, got a nation back on its feet and led it to victory in a world war and a promising future. Compare him to the man in charge of the USA today.
