Bob Mizer

It is said that Bob Mizer of AMG used his mother's silver sugar bowl to make the composite photo of Gustav Holmes. More than one observer has likened it to him admiring himself as a trophy.
It is a silver cigarette lighter with matching ashtray, my gran had one. I can hear Delia now “Bobby, not my silver cigarette lighter ! You’re already using my prized glassware !”..:)
The late 40s and early 50s were full of such stuff. My parents had a free standing ash tray with a mechanical lever to drop the butts into a chamber. The thing was nearly as big as some pieces of furniture.
