Juleff was a master at lighting and use of shadow. Juleff was meticulous in posing and photographing his models. He would go far as making sketches of a model in different poses, and then when photographing, adjust the lighting and the use of shadow for each model’s particular physique. For lighting Juleff utilized two spotlights and two flood lights, and used less of each light if necessary to achieve dramatic light and shadow effects….:)
