Black’s Beach was a nudist haven going back to the 1950’s. Trail 6 at San Onofre gave access to another beach where one could get nekkid, now longer allowed. You think California would have official nude beaches like the rest of the world. Even Franco’s Spain and communist countries had official nude beaches….:)
I think I recognize this picture as being from Playgirl. (I no longer have the mag because when I tried to give my magazines away due to their obsolescence in this digital age, nobody wanted them, not even the gay archives.)
Naked surfers, I would have liked to see that... Was it common to surf naked?
ReplyDeleteNot common, but done at times. Not all nude beaches have the right wave conditions for surfing, but some do.
DeleteTHIS is Black's Beach in San Diego, Calif. It's been nude since at least the mid-70s.
DeleteThanks for the beach ID!

That would be a fun Beach Party, all Frankie's and no Annette's! Lol.
ReplyDeleteThat’s my kind of Beach Blanket Bingo!
ReplyDeleteI know so little about the surfer lifestyle. Is nudism still a thing in their ranks?
