An unknown friend joins Helmut Riedmeier in this photo by an unknown photographer.
Edited to add: Sean Kelly tells us in the comments that the friend is Gunther and the location Cannes.
Photo taken in May 1963 by John Barrington. Barrington had the American millionaire John Dewez as a generous patron at this time and “introduced” Reidmier to Dewez. Dewez turned out to be a fickle patron, later committing suicide in 1966 due to the Dewez family cutting off his trust fund. :\
One of my favourite images of Helmut. Their lean muscular physiques are stunning..
