Frantisek Kupka
Czech artist Frantisek Kupka completed this in 1910.
What a brilliant painting! While I'm no artist (so I'm ignorant of the name for the technique), I find the free use of colour on the face to be fantastic! I also (unsurprisingly) love the moustache and beard.
