Uli Nimptsch
The Good Samaritan by Uli Nimptsch from 1960 stands outside a hospital in Birmingham, UK.
:( (vvs)

What samaritan wouldn’t help him ?…:)
ReplyDeleteHad them standing in line, no doubt.
DeleteThanks for including this Jerry, I have seen it many times over the years I find it quite beautiful and the meaning of it very moving. Compassion.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Pat, and I share your reaction to it.
DeleteI really must get to see this. Clearly it needs a "walk round" to fully take in the work.
ReplyDeleteRegretfully, I couldn't find any photos from a significantly different approach. If you go up there, please send pictures from all around.
DeleteWill do. Several statues from this era seem to go "missing". Stolen for scrap or nudity now considered unacceptable.
