James T. Gleeson (1915-2008) was an Australian artist who went through a period of painting male nudes from about 1958 to 1975. He represented psychological themes is some of his work, and lot of his male nudes have odd backgrounds which include what appear to be oysters and octopus tentacles. Whatever the influence was, the men are exceptionally well presented.
All of today's posts feature pairs of men, and this is "Waiting."
The men are almost depicted photographically.
