I had to include at least one jockstrap photo for a locker room theme,
but there is some more added interest in this picture.

  1. Now, this is a most interesting photograph for those who are interested. I seriously wonder if the origin of this photo is British - or possibly Australian. American jockstraps - following the original Bike model - always tend to have the leg straps attaching to the waistband further forward and, as far as I know, none of the models has the elastic of the strap covered in loose, brushed cotton. The pouch, likewise, is not a vertical weave and seems to lack the rubber and cotton mix. The Rolls Royce of British jockstraps was the Litesome which had this design of legstrap and a two-ply, four-way stretch brushed cotton pouch, bordered by elastic, which kept the family jewels firmly in the safe with the added luxury of not giving you tram-lines on your bell end. The Litesome strap also had its logo sewn into the inside of the waistband and sold a 'runnner' strap - the thick cotton pouch was too heavy for swimming and, besides, most Brits wore very brief 'racers' without embarrassment - before Bike introduced its own, far briefer version, in the mid-1960s. Litesome was bought out by Slazenger in 1961, but the line continued until the 1980s. Slazenger sells the cricket strap with a pouch for a cricket box - 'cup' in American English - in this design to this day.
