Catch of the Day

I think the online reseller should have called this one "Catch of the Day,"
but all they said was "1970 untitled."

  1. I like your title but I aalso notice themes of captivity and bondage.

    1. Yes, what they call "light" bondage. He could easily break free of that net . . . if he wanted to.

  3. Fishing nets make excellent props. Implying naked work on or by the sea. Encasing the fisherman in his own net? Trapped, huddled, washed up flotsam? I used mine modelling last month. Very tricky to draw, but inspiring.

    1. Glad to know that classic prop is still in use today.

  5. The second beautiful photo in this series, but once again, it does not give a solution, I regret that, it would have been enough to add a small detail to make us understand the message. Is bondage suggested, a fisherman caught in his own nets??? Mystery of the artist.. Jerry, you're going to find me very critical today, but apart from the other photo of the beach, I'm not a big fan of this artist

    1. It's more important to be honest about one's taste than to always be agreeable. Your point of view is welcome here.
