He has used the draperies and the wallpaper to frame his image. Very clever of Tobias….:) Clamart is a suburb of Paris noted for its stone and stucco houses. It is also infamous as site of the 1962 assassination attempt on Charles de Gaulle.
Odd posturing but the floral wallpaper and lace curtains are nice.

DeleteMy notes have the following annotation: "“Me at the window, 2 rue Adèle, Paris Clamart”. 1952. If it is Tobias, it's the first pic of him I have.
