Raymond "Czanara" Carrance
Today's posts are a variety of works by Raymond "Czanara" Carrance.
I can't tell if this guy is toweling off or draping himself.
There isn't much that makes this photo clear... The model isn't wet, so it shouldn't wipe and the piece of fabric seems narrow to drape over.... Whether this was intended by the artist, we will never know....
I think the earlier comments were correct in that he is draping himself in an old fashioned way, something not apparent to most modern viewers, including myself.
I think he is adjusting drapery. Probably red.... Once, such a popular part of male nude art. In need of a revival.
ReplyDeleteI agree on both points.
DeleteClassic image, now rarely seen if at all.
ReplyDeleteIt is drapery, you can see it between his legs as it winds across his body and down to the floor….:)
