Colt?
If this guy wasn't a Colt model, he should have been.
Thank you! I just took a quick look Mr. Guttke's work and learned that this photo is not vintage. It is so good, however, that I will leave it on the blog.
A friend directed me to his work a couple of years ago, he does beautiful B/W portraits. Still looking for a decent copy of Shadowlight to add to my collection. This model is so familiar I am sure I have seen other photos of him.
The majority of Guttke's models were considered "amateur" and, with the exception of Benjamin Godfre and a handful of others, were one-and-done and chose not to capitalize on their nude modelling work, so I've read that most are nameless by mutual consent. If that consistent treasure trail is any indication in my other photos, this one goes by the name Peter Eyre. Massively beautiful proportions, and yup he is a grower :-)
I wondered about that seeing there might have been only one photo each of a model. I will be on the lookout for this one though, he is something to behold!
I would love to meet him, what a handsome man!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Unfortunately the photo is not vintage, but I am leaving it here to be enjoyed anyway.
DeleteThe photo is by Robert Guttke.

DeleteHe has a whole site, but model names seem omitted.
DeleteSo I noticed.
Deletehis blog is still available https://guttkeclassicnudes.blogspot.com/
DeleteThanks for the link, Allan!
DeleteSome of the work of Robert Guttke in B&W harks back to the days of classic physique photography. A shame he passed away recently….:(
ReplyDeleteSad to hear that.
