Pat Milo Day

One of the things that the great physique photograper Pat Milo was known for was his exceptional photos of men against a very dark background.  I've even featured them in series showing the more artistic side of the genre.  So today we will look at the reverse background in 12 photos, starting with Joe Diaz.  He looks very impressive, and I'm sure the catalog number brought in lots of orders.

  1. Joe Diaz is the stage name that Joe McDaniel used when he posed Nude for Pat Milo in 1965. His real name was Joe McDaniel and that was the name he used when he posed for Bob Mizer. Joe was a Body Builder and was born in Mississippi but raised in Chicago. He is in AMG Catalog XM33 and he made 2 short films for Bob Mizer. The short film "Cop & the Athlete" was filmed in 1965 and released in 1967. Joe McDaniel was stabbed to death in downtown Los Angeles at 2 am on May 16, 1965. The murder was never solved by LAPD.

  2. That is sad. I have a couple more of Joe but I think this is the best shot of him.
