The Ivy League "Posture" Photos

Thanks to my friend Dean D. for reminding me in an email about these interesting photos.
In the 1940's, some genius in the anatomy (or some such) department talked the administrators of a couple of Ivy League colleges into taking nude photos of students to record their posture.  Yeah, right.  I suspect some dirty old man was at work, and he must have had varied taste as both male and female students of all shapes and sizes were part of the project.  We start with a guy who seems quite cheerful about standing there naked and having his photo taken.

  1. Although the purpose of taking these had rather dubious intentions, they, the ones that have survived, do give us an interesting record of how undergraduates looked then. I, of course would have been at the front of the queue to take part.
