Bob Mizer billed this model as "Charles Connors." Some collectors think he was Chuck Connors prior to his success on TV, while others think he was a lookalike. The real Chuck Connors played both professional baseball and pro basketball, the only person at the time to have done that.
Didn't you post some shots of Chuck Connors awhile ago? This guy does not look so much like the Rifleman as that man did. I wonder if this was taken at the same session as those other shots, but the different angle makes him look a bit different.
ReplyDeleteThere are other shots taken the same day, so you've probably seen them somewhere. And yes, I did post a non-baseball photo from that set.
Delete50 years ago I saw a terrible-quality 8mm film of "supposedly" Chuck Connors as a sailor actually involved in a sexual situation with another guy.. not just a show-off film.... looked like him vaguely, and seemingly the same era as this photo shoot.. but it's anybody's guess as to the actual identity..
ReplyDeleteProbably the same guy, and based on my emails, not the real Chuck.
DeleteI saw that film when I was in college, and would have sworn it wss the rifleman moonlighting. He had a nice cock as I recall.
DeleteNudes, sure, but sex acts, I won't believe. Athletes have been posing nude since the dawn of photography, but sex acts are a whole different animal.
ReplyDeleteTrue about posing.
