Fred, again

This is a much higher quality image of Fred De Luca than the preceding G-rated one.

  1. This pic seems to be in sharper focus than the centerfold. I like this pose a lot better, too. And though thete is not a lot of shadow, it's nicely placed. The sucked in abs are cool, too.

    1. The fact that his hair is not quite perfect adds to the aesthetics. I had an art history professor at the U of Texas who said some really great artists include imperfections intentionally to make the rest of the picture look better. In this case, it might be totally accidental.

    2. Hadn't noticed the hair on his head. But it does make the pictiure a bit more casual, which is a good thing. Like that color photo you posted yesterday. Those men were having a nice, relaxed bull session. Sometimes the "formality" (for want of a better word) of posing makes things seem stilted and artificial.

    3. I'm with you on the formal posing, which was the norm in the early part of the classic physique photo era, about 1938-1950. Things began to transition to something more natural in the 50's, but it took time for that look to dominate.
