In the garden
I think the headband in this photo was von Pluschow's nod to a Roman garland.
It may simply be somewhat overexposed, and I wouldn't rule out von Pluschow doing it to emphasize the Italian sunshine. Germans have been going to Italy for centuries to enjoy the sunshine.
Is this one washed out on purpose, or due to age, or just due to "technical difficulties" of the era?
