Dual Attribution
I've seen our last Von Pluschow photo attributed both to him and his cousin Von Gloeden.
Recently, however, I came across some documentation on line that makes me
think Von Pluschow is correct. If so, it's some of his best technical work.
They were ground breakers in photography of male nudes in that the photos were made for their own enjoyment and not as scientific works or studies for artists who couldn't afford life models.
Exzekllent foto. :) v.Pluschow, v.Gloeden und Galdi hatten sich in Taormina ein Paradies geschaffen und waren bei den Einheimischen sehr beliebt. Ihre expliziten Werke, insbesondere von Galdi, beendeten ihre Idyll in Taormina inmitten eines Skandals. Taormina ist heute fast so wie zu v. Pluschows Zeiten :)

The works of Von Pluschow, Vonn Gloeden, and Galdi are definitely among my favorites.

I've been a lot of places in Italy, but never made it to Taormina. Maybe someday.
