Quintet
This photo from 1941 is interesting, to say the least.
The smoky effect is said to have been intentional.
This series is artistically EXCEPTIONAL, but this photo is a true work of art. I hope this effect is intended, if it is by accident, I would assume that Leonardo da Vinci would have come forward to take this photo...
Platt Lynes dream like magic with the camera, brings to mind his myth series of photographs. Very provocative for 1941, perhaps a statement of that uneasy time, certainly for private viewing only….:)
