Two Versions
A slightly different crop of the same photo was used for the American
and Japanese versions of Muscle Power magazine around 1956.
Around the world with Vic :) When I first visited Japan in the 1960’s, I was surprised by their vibrant bodybuilding culture. You think of sumo wrestling, geishas, tea ceremonies, bonsai and kabuki theater, not bodybuilding. I attended a physique contest and they had some amazing physiques on display, and some of the bodybuilders were quite personable. Rex in DC
