This 2010 photo of Roy Blakey at age 78 was made as part of an internet history of the Holiday on Ice show he performed in for over a decade. Oddly, the only reference to photography in the biography of Mr. Blakey attached was to his having moved to California in 1968 to pursue it.
There was no mention of his stunning work once he got there. Sad, that.
