Henry Jones

This is another subtle one.  Henry Martin posed on a wooden picnic table
for this lovely photo that is all about shading and glow.  I think it's outstanding.

  1. He glows almost as if he were oiled. In fact, all of these males, despite not being oiled down, glow as though they were. Wow, Jerry, you sure started out the New Year on a marvelous scale! Thank you!

    1. I own a few HENRY JONES photos by Bruce Bellas. I never knew HENRY posed for Dave Martin. Do you know what year HENRY posed for Martin or what college/job HENRY had.? I never have been able to find HENRY JONES listed as a Dave Martin model in the Stanfors Archive.

    2. I got the attribution wrong on this one. My reseach shows that the bench and background here appear freqently in Bruce Bellas' work. Sorry about that. As for the Stanford Archive, it is excellent, but like anything, not perfect. There are some omissions. This, however, is not one of them.

    3. Thank you for getting back to me. I know that there are several Dave Martin photos that are not included in the Stanford Archive. I really did not know if HENRY JONES had posed for Dave Martin. But the Bench and Background had a Bruce of LA feel to it. I actually can not think of any Dave Martin photos where the Model poses on a Bench in front of a Hedge with power lines overhead. It looked like Bruce Bellas' back yard. Martin lived in an apartment and his outdoor shots were different--the Oakland Hills, the Russian River and San Francisco Bay. It still is an excellent photo by Bruce of LA. TY for sharing it.!

  2. Another winner. Mr. Jones has a lovely glow in this shot. He seems to exude confidence as well and seems entirely comfortable being photographed.
