Shotput
I don't think Riebicke was going for a strictly athletic (shotput) concept here.
There's an element of modern rhythmic dance there that come to the fore.
Wow..look at the definition in his back and arms! And a nice "reverse contrast" wit the male darker than that background. And the pose is classical.
